Role Overview

Core Responsibilities:

Policy Strategy & Program Management

  • Advocate and manage policy issues across social, political, legal, and technical domains.

  • Identify opportunities for Microsoft technology adoption in government initiatives.

Intelligence Gathering & Analysis

  • Monitor policy trends affecting technology and business.

External Engagement & Coalition-Building

  • Forge relationships with public sector, industry groups, and thought leaders.

  • Influence regulatory and legislative outcomes in line with Microsoft objectives.

  • Manage external partners and consultants for policy and legislative initiatives.

Internal Collaboration & Alignment

  • Advocate internal policy priorities and facilitate cross-team coordination.

  • Advise executive leadership on political and policy developments.

  • Support high-level events and executive engagements.

Communication & Representation

  • Drive communication strategies to align complex policy with Microsoft’s mission.

  • Represent Microsoft in external forums and industry events.

  • Translate technical and policy concepts for decision-makers and influencers.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field, or Bachelor’s with extensive experience.

  • Significant experience in government affairs, corporate affairs, or public policy.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead policy initiatives.

  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
