Role Overview
The Assistant Property Officer ensures Jubilee-owned buildings are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with policies and regulations. You will oversee daily operations, manage tenant relations, and supervise building maintenance activities.

Core Responsibilities:

Operations & Facility Management:

  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Manage cleaning, security, waste management, and other facility services.

  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees and tenants.

  • Conduct regular inspections, respond to emergencies, and supervise building staff.

  • Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems for efficiency.

  • Prepare community areas for events and maintain detailed activity documentation.

Corporate Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and internal policies.

  • Implement measures to mitigate emerging risks in building operations.

People & Collaboration:

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and promote teamwork.

  • Maintain high levels of communication with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Support staff development and resolve conflicts constructively.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics, Real Estate Management, or related field.

  • Diploma in Technical Education (Building, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical) is advantageous.

  • Additional certifications in facilities management or building maintenance preferred.

  • 1–2 years’ experience in commercial or residential property management.

  • Student membership in the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya is a plus.
