What You’ll Do
As a Teller, you will manage over-the-counter transactions while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and superior customer service. You will also play a key role in promoting SBM Bank’s products and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Compliance

Handle cash, cheque, electronic funds transfers, RTGS, and TT transactions.

Issue Banker’s Cheques, set up standing instructions, and manage large cash transactions.

Maintain branch security, including vaults, ATMs, and safe deposit lockers.

Conduct internal account reconciliations and adhere to risk and compliance procedures.
Customer Service Excellence

Assist with account opening, closures, and digital banking setups.

Resolve customer queries and provide solutions promptly.

Support clients with cheque books, prepaid cards, credit/debit cards, and fixed deposits.
Business Development & Client Engagement

Cross-sell banking products and services.

Activate dormant accounts and support new client acquisition.
Team Collaboration & HR Responsibilities

Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless branch operations.

Attend training sessions, complete self-appraisals, and follow leave schedules to maintain work-life balance.
Qualifications & Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (minimum second-class honors upper division).

Minimum B- in KCSE or equivalent.

Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
