The ICEA Lion Group has announced a vacancy for a Senior System Support Analyst (642), offering an exciting opportunity for seasoned ICT professionals to work within a leading insurance and financial services organization.
Position Summary
This role sits within the Applications Team and is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of core insurance systems. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, manage complex incidents, oversee system changes, and support strategic technology initiatives in a highly regulated environment.
Core Responsibilities

Lead implementation, upgrade, and enhancement of enterprise insurance systems

Provide senior escalation support for high-impact system issues

Manage incident, problem, and root cause analysis processes

Oversee system integrations, data migrations, and UAT activities

Monitor system availability, capacity, and resilience

Govern change and release management across all environments
-
Ensure compliance with security standards, audits, and regulatory requirements

Manage user access controls and segregation of duties
-
Engage business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
-
Coordinate vendors, system integrators, and third-party service providers
-
Drive continuous service improvement initiatives

Develop technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles

Mentor junior ICT staff and support skills development
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in ICT or related discipline

5–7 years of progressive ICT systems support experience

Proven experience supporting mission-critical systems

Knowledge of operating systems, databases, and enterprise applications

Certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, or Linux/UNIX are an added advantage

Experience in IT procurement, budgeting, and vendor management
