About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Officer, you’ll ensure that every new Safaricom product, system, and service complies with international security standards such as ISO27001 and PCI DSS. You’ll drive the organization’s DevSecOps culture — embedding security directly into development and operational pipelines.
You’ll also oversee:

Bug Bounty Programs — validating and resolving vulnerabilities.

Penetration Testing and Red Teaming — simulating attacks to strengthen system defenses.

Security Assurance for all projects before deployment.

Performance Analytics — tracking operational metrics to guide long-term cyber resilience.

What You Need to Qualify
To succeed, you’ll bring:

A technical degree in IT, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.

Professional certifications such as CISM, CEH, OSCP, or CISSP.

Over 5 years of hands-on experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and ICT audits.

Advanced knowledge of networking, cloud platforms, operating systems, and ethical hacking tools.

Experience in DevSecOps technologies and agile environments.
