If you’re passionate about conservation, climate action, and community empowerment, this could be your calling. The Maasai Mara Wildlife Conservancies Association (MMWCA) is recruiting a Chief Executive Officer to lead the transformative One Mara Carbon Project (OMCP).
This full-time leadership position, based in Narok, Kenya, offers a chance to drive climate-smart conservation in the world-renowned Maasai Mara ecosystem.
Your Mission as CEO
As the CEO, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure the OMCP’s success and sustainability. You will lead a team dedicated to balancing environmental conservation, carbon revenue generation, and community livelihoods.
You will:

Implement and oversee carbon offset initiatives aligned with global standards.

Manage financial resources, ensuring transparency and effective project delivery.

Build strong partnerships with local communities, donors, and governments.

Oversee organizational growth, team performance, and impact reporting.

Represent OMCP at national and international platforms.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Degree in environmental science, climate studies, or project management.

Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership, ideally in conservation or sustainability.

Proven track record managing large budgets and complex programs.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Knowledge of carbon project certification and climate finance.
