Are you ready to play a key role in shaping Africa’s digital payments policy landscape? Airtel Money is seeking a Group Head – Policy Affairs, based in Nairobi, to lead regulatory strategy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement across multiple markets.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional with a strong policy, legal, or regulatory background in fintech, telecom, or financial services.
Your Role Will Include:

Leading policy development and advocacy initiatives in areas like AML/CFT, financial inclusion, consumer protection, and taxation.

Coordinating Airtel Money’s input into laws, regulations, and consultations at national and regional levels.

Building strategic alliances with regulators, central banks, ministries, and financial development partners.

Representing Airtel Money in industry associations, working groups, and advocacy coalitions.

Tracking emerging regulatory risks and providing policy intelligence to leadership.

Preparing board-level reports, briefing packs, and advocacy materials for C-suite engagement.
What You’ll Need:

A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, or related field.

A Master’s degree (MPP, MBA, LLM, MSc in Regulatory Policy/Development Economics) is an advantage.

At least 10 years’ experience in policy or government affairs, including 5+ years in digital payments, fintech, or telecom.

Experience working with central banks, regulators, and ministries.

Ability to influence legislation and regulatory frameworks in financial services.
