Career Opportunity: Future Pro Graphic & Motion Designer at NBA Africa & BAL

If you’re a creative graphic designer with a passion for sports and storytelling, NBA Africa has opened an exciting position for a Future Pro Graphic & Motion Designer. Based in Nairobi, this role will support the Basketball Africa League (BAL) by creating visually striking content that elevates brand identity and deepens fan engagement across the continent.

This is a full-time permanent role with the option for remote work once a week—ideal for designers seeking both creativity and flexibility.


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Design & Creative Execution

You will produce eye-catching graphics and motion pieces for digital campaigns, social media, print materials, events, merchandise, presentations, and partnerships. From campaign graphics to in-arena visuals, your work will help define how fans experience BAL and NBA Africa.

High-Impact Motion Graphics

A major part of the job involves creating animation templates, transitions, title cards, and other motion elements for use across digital content and video productions. Your ability to enhance storytelling with dynamic visuals will be crucial.

Campaign Collaboration

You’ll contribute to creative concepts, support agencies during execution, and ensure every asset produced follows brand guidelines. You will work closely with the brand marketing team to deliver cohesive visual campaigns.

Cross-Team Support

Your designs will assist teams across events, fan engagement, digital, influencer activations, grassroots basketball programs, and more. You’ll also manage design files, track projects, and keep internal teams updated on progress.


Who They Are Looking For

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in graphic and motion design

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating animation and static design

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, with ability to work in Figma and Canva

  • Strong attention to detail and visual coherence

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Fluency in English; French/Arabic is an added plus

  • Familiarity with basketball and African sports culture is beneficial

A formal education in graphic design, multimedia arts, or related fields is required.
