The Karen Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Kenya, is inviting applications for the position of ICT Manager. This full-time role presents a chance to lead the hospital’s digital transformation agenda and manage cutting-edge health information systems.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the ICT Manager will be responsible for managing the hospital’s IT operations, infrastructure, and systems. The role focuses on ensuring technology supports both patient care and administrative efficiency, while maintaining security and compliance with national regulations.
Main Duties

Lead IT planning and digital transformation efforts.

Develop and implement IT strategies that align with hospital goals.

Maintain and upgrade key systems, including EMR and HIS platforms.

Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable network infrastructure across departments.

Enforce cybersecurity standards and adherence to data protection laws.

Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team.

Manage IT budgets, vendors, and procurement activities.

Conduct digital literacy and IT training programs for staff.
Preferred Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Minimum of 7 years in IT management, with at least 2 years in a healthcare environment.

Proven experience with hospital management software and digital health systems.

Expertise in cybersecurity, network design, and data recovery.
