CIC Insurance, one of Kenya’s leading insurance and financial services groups, is looking to hire an Employee Relations and Wellness Manager. This role is designed for HR leaders who are passionate about culture-building, employee wellbeing, and fostering a healthy and supportive work environment.

Role Overview
The Employee Relations and Wellness Manager reports directly to the Head of Change, Employee Relations, and Wellness. The role is divided into three major focus areas: handling employee relations, integrating wellness programs, and shaping organizational culture.
Main Responsibilities
Employee Relations (60%)

Drive execution of an ER strategy that reflects CIC’s values and promotes trust and accountability.

Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance-related issues with confidentiality and fairness.

Standardize ER approaches across different markets, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.

Review and refine grievance management models to enhance turnaround time and transparency.

Manage anonymous reporting channels and extract insights to prevent recurring issues.

Maintain open communication with stakeholders throughout ER processes.

Provide regular ER trend analysis and reporting for leadership decision-making.
Wellness Integration (20%)

Coordinate rollout of the organization’s holistic Wellness Framework.

Oversee wellness initiatives, including mental health programs, physical wellness, and emotional wellbeing support.

Evaluate wellness program effectiveness using data and feedback.

Promote resilience training, stress management, and mental health awareness.

Lead internal communication efforts to boost participation in wellness activities.
Culture & Employee Experience (20%)

Contribute to culture-building initiatives, including values alignment and behavior change campaigns.

Support the creation of targeted communication and storytelling programs to reinforce culture.

Embed DEI into both wellness and employee relations strategies.

Work with People & Culture leadership to advance inclusion and flexible work practices.
Qualifications & Experience Needed

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.

Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management (mandatory).

8+ years HR experience, with at least 3 years in a focused Employee Relations role.

Experience in wellness program development and employee relations frameworks.

Deep understanding of HR generalist functions and employee lifecycle management.
