The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has announced a prestigious opportunity for seasoned finance leaders. The Authority is seeking to recruit a Director, Finance & Accounts, a vital position that drives financial excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic resource management within the organization.
Role Overview
This senior executive role is central to strengthening financial stewardship at CA. Working closely with the Director General, the Director of Finance & Accounts will provide leadership in financial planning, reporting, and policy development.
The role’s key duties include:

Guiding the Board and Management with expert financial insights, policy advisory, and strategic recommendations.

Developing and implementing robust financial policies and frameworks that support organizational efficiency.

Maintaining strong internal controls to guarantee accountability and protect organizational assets.

Leading budget planning, cash flow forecasting, and annual work plan development.

Overseeing expenditure to ensure the Authority remains within approved budget limits.

Monitoring budget implementation and ensuring financial operations adhere to established plans.

Supervising financial reporting, treasury management, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Keeping accurate accounting records and regularly reviewing financial systems for continuous improvement.

Managing financial risks by identifying vulnerabilities and establishing mitigation measures.
What You Need to Qualify
This role is ideal for a highly experienced finance professional with a strong leadership background. Applicants must have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business-related fields.

A Master’s degree in a relevant area.

A minimum of 15 years of work experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or management position.

CPA(K) qualification or an equivalent certification.

Active membership in a recognized professional accounting body.

A valid professional practicing license (where applicable).

A completed leadership training course of not less than four weeks.

Strong analytical, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and mentorship skills.
