At Unilever, winning in the market starts with understanding customers and shoppers deeply. The Assistant Customer Strategy Planning (CSP) Manager – Home Care role is designed for professionals who can turn insights into powerful commercial execution across channels.
This role supports the development and delivery of market plans aligned with business unit and category strategies. The Assistant CSP Manager plays a hands-on role in allocating resources dynamically, prioritizing channels and customers, and ensuring investments are deployed where they deliver the strongest returns.
A core focus is category growth. By localizing category growth strategies at customer and channel level, the role ensures that brand ambitions translate into measurable performance on the ground. Collaboration with brand managers, shopper marketing teams, and account managers enables the creation of integrated customer marketing plans that support both brand and business objectives.
The role also owns key commercial levers, including pricing, promotions, and promotional mix. Monthly forecasting, trade investment management, and NRM ownership at detailed levels ensure financial discipline while supporting growth. Innovation launches are executed with customer input, ensuring relevance and strong execution in-store and across digital platforms.
Operational excellence is equally important. From consolidating field plans and supporting S&OP processes to ensuring brand DNA consistency across channels, the Assistant CSP Manager ensures execution aligns with Unilever’s high standards. Continuous analysis of marketing ROI helps refine future strategies and improve efficiency.
To succeed, candidates should bring at least three years of relevant experience in category management, sales, or customer-facing roles. Strong customer management skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams are key. A mindset focused on resilience, continuous improvement, and consumer-centric thinking sets top performers apart.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow within Unilever’s commercial organization while shaping how leading Home Care brands win with customers in the Kenyan market.
