About the Role
The Business Development Manager – Institutions will oversee revenue growth within segregated pension mandates, build strong relationships with trustees and institutional stakeholders, and ensure that pension clients receive efficient, compliant, and value-driven service.
The position blends sales strategy, client management, product enhancement, compliance, and business development—all within a regulated financial environment.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Growing Institutional Pension Business

Target and acquire new institutional pension clients.

Shape and execute sales strategies using market insights and competitive intelligence.

Lead proposal development, presentations, and onboarding of new schemes.

Support annual business planning to meet company revenue targets.
2. Relationship Management & Retention

Act as the main relationship manager for key institutional clients.

Facilitate trustee meetings, investment updates, and scheme reviews.

Manage member education initiatives and onboarding documentation.

Address service gaps and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
3. Enhancing Products & Innovation
-
Identify emerging needs for new segregated pension products.

Collaborate with product teams to refine existing offerings.

Lead communication, training, and rollout of new institutional products.
4. Strategy, Planning & Performance
-
Track and report business performance metrics.

Analyze industry developments and regulatory changes affecting pensions.

Influence pricing strategies and product competitiveness.
5. Service Delivery & Operations

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate processing of client transactions.

Ensure timely submission of audited financial statements, compliance filings, and trustee reports.
6. Compliance & Risk Oversight

Uphold regulatory compliance with RBA, CMA, KRA, AML guidelines, and data privacy laws.

Support audits, regulatory inspections, and due-diligence processes.
7. Industry Presence & Brand Visibility

Represent Jubilee in key industry platforms and stakeholder engagements.

Contribute thought leadership materials and market insights.

Enhance Jubilee’s reputation as a trusted pension and asset management partner.
8. Team Culture & Collaboration

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in a finance, economics, business, or related field.

Master’s degree preferred.

Professional certifications including CFA or CISI are a major advantage.

7–8 years of experience in insurance or asset management, with at least 2 years in leadership.

Strong knowledge of pension mandates and institutional investment solutions.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Proven record of successfully managing institutional relationships and driving business growth.
