Do you want to play a role in building inclusive workplaces for youth with disabilities in Kenya? The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) is recruiting a Programs Officer – Jumuisha to support its flagship youth internship project.
This initiative, run in partnership with the National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) and funded by CBM, aims to create sustainable opportunities in the labor market for young people living with disabilities, particularly in Isiolo and Kakamega counties.
What You’ll Do

Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing project activities.

Work with institutions to develop disability-friendly policies and environments.

Partner with businesses to encourage the recruitment of persons with disabilities.

Support data collection, monitoring, and project reporting.

Guide and mentor youth with disabilities in accessing internship and job opportunities.
Who We’re Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Project Management or Development Studies.

At least 3 years’ experience in project coordination, preferably within the NGO sector.

Proven expertise in disability inclusion and youth empowerment programs.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
